Getting Started

Can I enroll in just a single course?

Absolutely! Simply add the course to your cart to checkout and pay to enroll.

How do I enroll?

Once you have decided which certification course to enroll in, you can either click the “enroll” button in top navigation, or, click the “enroll now” button listed under the specific course description. From there, choose which course you would like to enroll in and add to cart.

What happens once I enroll & pay for a course?

You will receive a confirmation email with your username and a temporary password. Navigate back to the homepage of the website and click LOGIN in the upper right corner.

Payments

What is the cancellation policy?

Courses purchased in error can be canceled within 24 hours of initial purchase. To cancel, email must be sent to support@rtinstitute.com within 24 hours of purchase to receive a refund.

How do I change my payment method?

If you have previously purchased a course, log in to your account and navigate to the Order History tab to edit your credit card information.

How do I get a receipt for a course purchase?

Log in to your account and navigate to the Order History tab. From here, you will be able to see all past courses purchased and download a PDF receipt.

Coursework

How do I gain access to the online course site?

Once you have purchased your selected course, you will receive a confirmation email with your username and temporary password.

Navigate back to the homepage of the website and click LOGIN in the upper right corner to gain access to the online course site.

What type of content can I expect in a certification course?

Our courses are made up of modules, lessons within each module, an assessment for each module, and a final exam for certification. Content includes instructional videos, demoing tools, and skill sets one would need to feel confident to operate within the platform on their own, as well as one-sheets to print and use as you operate within the platforms.

How long does a certification course take to complete?

The majority of our courses take about 10 hours from start to finish, including quiz and exams. Each certification course on the Courses page details the amount of time the course is anticipated to be.

Do I have to do the course in one sitting?

The course does not need to be taken in one consecutive sitting. The course is broken up into modules; each module needs to be completed in one sitting, and roughly takes 1.5 hours to complete.

Is there a particular order I must take the modules?

Modules will need to be taken in the order they are written, and cannot be skipped or moved around. Completing a module will unlock the next designated module.

What should I expect when taking the final exam?

The final exam will include questions from all modules within the course. Questions format will include multiple choice format, true/false, and short answer. The final exam will be timed. Passing grade will result in course completion and a certificate will be issued.

Course Completion

Will my course results be shared?

Employers will have the ability to search for an employee’s name in our database to see course results.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion?

Yes! An E-Certificate will be available for download within your course portal within 72 hours of course completion. You will also have the option to share the certificate on social sites.

What happens if I don’t pass the final?

If you do not pass the final, you will immediately receive an opportunity for a second attempt to pass. If you do not pass a second time, you will be requested to schedule time with one of our course instructors to review your final exam and areas for re-education.

Will I lose access to the course site the day after the course ends?

No. The course site and material will be available to access for up to 1 year after purchase.

Troubleshooting

If I enroll in two courses, do I have to create two logins?

Nope! Log in to your existing account upon checkout of a new course to add the new course to your existing login.

What happens if I forget my password to login?

Click “Forgot My Password” on the login screen to generate a new password

Other

Is this course really 100% online? Do I need to attend any classes in person?

All courses are fully remote. The only requirement is that the course must be completed on a computer, not a tablet or mobile device.

What are the prerequisites for taking a certification course?

There are no prerequisites for taking a course.

Can our support center participate in the online course as a group?

Can I register for a course outside of the US?

Our courses are available to participants worldwide.

Will I earn university credit for completing a certification course?

Our certification courses are not applicable to university credit.
